I'm moving to Rochester in the spring and before I leave I want to change banks because the one I have sucks. What are the popular ones up there? I'm in NYC and I currently use Citibank, and I was thinking of either moving to Washington Mutual or Bank of America.

Is there a best ESCO to use for gas or should one just stick with R G & E prices since you have to pay R G & E supply and/or delivery charges anyways?

So, I'm moving to Rochester in about six months, and I'd like to know anything and everything you can tell me. To give you a little bit of information about myself, I'm a 24 year old woman, and I'll be moving up there with my boyfriend. I'm looking to attend cosmetology school up there also, so any information about that would be good too. I've only been upstate a handful of times, and I was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, but I'm looking for somewhere that I can actually afford to live, considering the rents in the city are sky high. My boyfriend went to college there, and he says it would be a good place to live, so I'm primarily basing my decision on that, the low rents, and the fact that I have a couple of friends up there.

Rochester Anonymous Confession Board

Basically it's an discussion board where you can post anything you want anonymously. The one at JHU was extremely popular and they have recently added a long list of other schools. I think it's pretty neat, worth checking out.
